Epinions Recommended starter digital camera

by  robmccppl,  Jan 19, 2002
Pros: Easy to use, straight forward functions and design.
Cons: Am I being picky? Camera strap in wrong location and no lens cap!
The Bottom Line: Great value for the money. Easy, hassle free and fun to use.
Review: I was looking for a no nonsense starter digital camera and found the DX3215 to fit the bill. It gave me the biggest bang for the buck ($299.00 CDN ). Set up was easy and I was ready to go in minutes. I love the fact that it has an optical zoom as well as...

Epinions Fun and Easy Camera!

by  maytina,  Aug 31, 2003
Pros: Wonderfully easy, durable, not too expensive.
Cons: Eats batteries (I think it's worth it, though)
The Bottom Line: While there are cameras out there with more space, or with a higher resolution, this camera is great for the hobby photographer.
Review: My husband bought me this camera for my birthday last October. I have used it almost everyday since. ...

Epinions Good camera with a long life

by  bootyhunter,  Sep 4, 2003
Pros: Durable, software easy to use, downloading pictures easy.
Cons: Time between pictures taken.
The Bottom Line: As a starter camera this is perfect, if you're an experienced digital camera user I would recommend a KODAK camera with a few more features.
Review: I received this camera about 2 years ago as a Christmas present and it has yet to fail me. Yeah the ...

Epinions Wicked Good

by  caporalej,  Oct 21, 2003
Pros: durable, quality pics, easy to use
Cons: optical zoom only 2x, processor chip a little slow things take a while
Review: I got this camera refurbished for 70 bucks. It was the cheapest camera with optical zoom that i could find which was something that i wanted because without optical zoom and digital instead the resolution is ruined. It came with a lithium battery that s ...

Epinions What Good Does It Do If It Does Not Even Stay On? A Digital Journey

by  charles,  Jul 24, 2002
Pros: EasyShare system makes fast picture transfer; easy e-mailing and printing; battery recharging
Cons: Does not turn on
The Bottom Line: While you will appreciate some of the features that the DX3215 Digital Camera comes equipped with, you'd better invest in the higher models instead.
Review: If it does not work, return it. But make sure you do so while the manufacturer's warranty is still good. In addition, you should always extend the life of your digital gadgets by purchasing some warranty. Just to make sure. My journey in the new land...

Epinions My favorite Christmas gift this year!

by  shartlen,  Dec 28, 2001
Pros: Takes excellent photographs and is easy to use
Cons: The software installation should not be customized
The Bottom Line: Kodak really needs to redesign the software installation but the camera is fabulous as long as you take their standard install routine.
Review: Santa brought me a Kodak DX3215 Digital Camera with docking station this year and I really like it now that I have it working properly.

Being a notch above a non-technical computer user, I selected the "Custom Installation" choice on the...

Epinions Great camera for digital beginners.

by  blaisepascal,  Jun 6, 2003
Pros: Quick easy setup, simple USB connection with XP. User friendly options/settings menu.
Cons: A large camera and only has 2x zoom. Small preview screen.
The Bottom Line: for beginners give it a try before moving up to a more complicated and elaborate model.
Review: The DX3215 was my first digital camera purchase. Not being an avid picture taker I decided to purchase an entry level camera. It did not come with the dock as many now do but it was an easy set up and was ready to go within minutes. It came with the...

Epinions Is it just me?

by  sronnoc,  Feb 18, 2002
Pros: Lightweight. Easy to use. Good customer service, so far.
Cons: No lens cap! Keeps BREAKING!!!
The Bottom Line: When it works, I love it, but it's spent more time NOT working and being repaired than it has being used.
Review: We got our DX 3215 for Christmas. I took it out of the box and got some great pictures. It was easy to upload the pics to our pc, and all was good. One day, my wife was taking a picture of our 3 month old son. The camera froze, and just plain died....

Epinions Agree Totally - Camera will not retain power

by  poetesstx,  Dec 28, 2003
Pros: Has an LCD... zoom...
Cons: The camera has to actually be ON for the LCD and zoom to work.
Review: The gentleman that wrote the previous review was right on. Thank you! I'm not losing my mind. I purchased the DX3215 after doing some research on the internet (obviously, I didn't read the right reviews). My camera has never worked correctly. ...
