by  CyndiCM,  Feb 1, 2001
Pros: Quiet, crushes ice on all speeds, easy touch controls.
Cons: No pour spout, base of blender is pretty heavy.
The Bottom Line: This blender is easy to use. Most anything you would want to blend, this machine can handle. If you want crushed ice, this is the blender to buy
Review: I received this Kitchen Aid 3-Speed Classic Blender KSB3 as a wedding gift, more then 11 years ago. I have used this blender almost weekly since, with no problems at all. This blender has three settings : Stir, Mix, and Liquefy. There is also a ...

Epinions The BEST Blender on the Market

by  sierralink,  Jul 17, 2000
Pros: Great value, great results!
Cons: None!
Review: I purchased a Kitchen Aid 3-speed blender at my local Wal-Mart for $77.00 and it has been worth every penny. It crushes ice effortlessly, makes the best smoothies in seconds flat and is very easy to operate and clean. I like how it starts off slow at all...

Epinions This is not your mothers blender

by  roync,  Jan 19, 2000
Pros: Strong, reliable, and the Kitchen Aid name.
Cons: No pouring spout
Review: The Kitchen Aid 3 Speed Classic laughs at ice and other previously un-blendables. With strong thick blades and a heavy glass pitcher the Kitchen Aid Classic is the blender every home needs. Over the last 20 years I have spent well over $100 on cheaper...

Epinions It's time for Margaritas!

by  toyotaas,  Jun 20, 2001
Pros: Crushes Ice at any speed, doesn't bog down, easy to clean.
Cons: a little heavy, must use a grounded outlet, lid is a little flimsy, pricey.
The Bottom Line: It is a truly great blender that you wont regret buying for a second! So much better than lesser blenders! Kitchen Aid is best!
Review: I bought this blender after my black and decker blender made it's last Margarita. I bought it at Wal-Mart for $78.00 and although it is expensive it is worth every penny. When I bought the blender I picked up the base of all blenders to see which one...

Epinions Feel the Power! Worth every penny...

by  uprising,  Jun 17, 2001
Pros: Very quiet, fast and thorough. Can handle anything, pours and cleans easily.
Cons: None
The Bottom Line: A reliable, efficient, pleasant to use blender for everyday use. If you can possibly afford it, buy it. You definitely get what you pay for. This thing inspires us!
Review: We splurged on this blender over an Oster model costing about half as much, and are thrilled with our choice. A couple cons cited by others puzzle me; the substantial metal base makes for very quiet and stable operation. Cheaper plastic base blenders...

Epinions Highly recommend!

by  sgrandjean,  Nov 4, 2002
Pros: Heavy duty blender
Cons: screw-on lid, rubber gasket in lid comes out easily after washing in hot water
The Bottom Line: Great blender with 1-year Total Replacement Warranty. Great customer service!
Review: I've had the 3 speed blender since 1998. This is the old style with the screw-on lid. Aside from the inherent problems with the lid, I'd rate this blender as one of the best. I'm not at all crazy about the screw-on lid, but I've gotten used to it...

Epinions good basic tool

by  dboyes,  Jul 20, 2002
Pros: simple controls, stable base, solid feel
Cons: replacement parts not obviously easy to get, price
The Bottom Line: Buy one if you need to puree a lot of soup or make a lot of ice-based drinks. It's a solid, reliable performer if basic maintenance procedures are followed.
Review: The KSB3 is yet another one of my replacement appliances, supplanting a early 1950s Waring bar blender left over from my college days that finally hung up it's towel and went where all good blenders go at the end of their lives. I've had it for about...

by  mediapusher,  Nov 15, 2006
Pros: Powerful, Quiet, Efficient, Durable Motor, Chops Ice Like A Pro, Aesthetically Pleasing
Cons: Expensive? 3 speeds may not be enough for some people
The Bottom Line: Although expensive to some, it has renowned Kitchen-Aid quality and performance. You won't go back to cheap blenders after experiencing this blender.
Review: IMPORTANT NOTE: To further increase the likelihood of you making the correct decision when buying a blender, keep in mind the following things I have noticed about this blender, based on my experience and the other reviews I have read on this web ...

Epinions Be careful about freezing your left-over margaritas in this!

by  egrosso,  Aug 18, 2006
Pros: solid construction, nice contemporary styling, convenient cord storage, powerful
Cons: hard to empty without spilling, awkward hand position required for tightening collar
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this blender as a good general purpose machine, unless you have arthritic hands.
Review: I say that only because that's how we killed my beloved KSB3. I generally make a blender full of 'gritas, and after pouring a couple, I tuck the blender into the freezer. This generally works perfectly, for a couple of hours, keeping the 'gritas nice ...

Epinions Blender of Choice!

by  cbgresh,  Jan 23, 2000
Pros: canister size, efficient, easy clean up
Cons: smaller canister
Review: The Kitchen Aid 3 speed classic blender is a great addition to my household! I have chopped and blended, whipped and pureed so many things since getting this 1 month ago! I had to replace the blender I received for a wedding gift 15 years ago and decided...
