by  jeremy1456, top reviewer in Games ,  Jun 23, 2003
Pros: Terrific Battle System, Engaging Storyline
Cons: Inferior Port Of The Dreamcast Version
The Bottom Line: Grandia II Is A Sloppy Port of a Good Game
Review: I really thought Sega was on to something when they released the Dreamcast, as I didn't think twice ...

Epinions Fantastic Game, Flawed Execution

by  tanta07,  Jul 21, 2002
Pros: Engrossing Storyline, Addictive Gameplay
Cons: Glitches Galore
The Bottom Line: A memorable RPG that is only hampered by a shoddy translation to the PS2.
Review: It’s not often that Sony and its Playstation consoles get upstaged in the RPG arena, but that seemed to happen in the case of two great RPGs that appeared on the Dreamcast, one being Skies of Arcadia, the other being Grandia II. The...

Epinions Grandia 2 o.O

by  goldenaxe,  Mar 30, 2003
Pros: Good old Grandia style, something different.
Cons: bad graphics quality for a PS2 game, very hurried, looks like PS1 game.
The Bottom Line: Good, but needed more work. Could have been excellent if it wasn't for the graphics, and music.
Review: After I played Grandia for PS1, I was very excited when I heard of the sequel; Grandia 2.

Then I heard that it was not related to the story of Grandia, and it would be a whole new story, I was dissapointed but not discouraged. Afterall, it was...

Epinions It loses something in the translation.

by  buburubu,  Aug 23, 2002
Pros: Great story, characters, and environment.
Cons: The once great gameplay has been glitched to death on PS2.
The Bottom Line: A magnificent game, tarnished. Better to play the Dreamcast version, but this is okay too.
Review: Grandia II for Dreamcast was a work of art. It had a great fantasy world that players could lose themselves in, lovable characters, a great story, good graphics, fantastic gameplay, even good music. Grandia II for the Playstation 2 still keeps many of...

Pros: Price Point,Gameplay,Story,Voiceacting,And the Longevity
Cons: Some bosses are hard, Dungeons get repetitive,Sometimes it is Chuggy
Review: To make this review quick. The Gameplay is Awesome it's like real time and turn based mixed into one. The sotry is about a drifter but they call it a geohound that gets sucked into this big mission. The story is overall good. The characters and ...

Epinions Yes, I really am a piece of scum

by  32_Footsteps, lead in Games ,  Nov 24, 2002
Pros: Good battle system, solid sound effects and music
Cons: Terrible graphic glitches, story is resolved too quickly
The Bottom Line: Yes, I still think this feature is fairly useless, but it's required. I had to think of something for this space.
Review: Perhaps the greatest shame of the recent skirmish in the so-called console wars was how the Dreamcast was handled. Yes, there were some great games on the system. However, a combination of two things killed it - far too many bad games which gave the...

Epinions Not a must buy...But if you are interested give it a try.

by  dc1343,  Aug 20, 2002
Pros: Excellent music, story
Cons: Graphics are a bit difficult at times
The Bottom Line: A good game if you are looking for a RPG. If you played it before on the DreamCast then you can pass on this title.
Review: Grandia 2 is the second installment of Game Arts Grandia franchise. Like its competitor Square's Final Fantasy series the sequel has no precedence to the first Grandia.

As soon as I started Grandia 2 i was immediately pleasantly surprised....

Epinions Grandia II Review

by  maljon,  Nov 24, 2002
Pros: Better magic leveling and graphics.
Cons: Some story problems.
The Bottom Line: Grandia II is far superior to its predacessor and is ready to set the standard for RPG's to come. This game is worth its price.
Review: Grandia II has what it takes to be great. With a truly unique magic system, you can choose which magic and skills you wish to upgrade when you get magic coins, and special coins. It also has a great cast of characters. It has the classic hero, but...
